THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STRANGE MAGIC (S Khathi) was stubborn loading. b) LADY MISTICO (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stall and fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing one length. c) UNITED EXPRESS (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUN SPECTACULAR (G Wright) was carried outwards by STRANGE MAGIC (S Khathi), which shifted outwards at the 250m. b) TREASURE HUNT (M van Rensburg) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 250m. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with CALL TO GLORY (GB). The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables. d) In view of the performance of VALERIAS DREAM (C Maujean), which was not persevered with from the 250m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding UNITED EXPRESS (K Minnie), Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to have this mare re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) KABON KAPI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
