THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start LEAD TO GLORY (D Ashby) was inconvenienced when racing tight between LADY LOXTON (K Matsunyane) and DECEMBER DAWN (A Andrews), which rolled out. b) Jockey A Arries reported that GRUE OF ICE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DECEMBER DAWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
