THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SENSORIA (M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ELEMBEE (P Strydom) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, QUANTUM (M van Rensburg) was steadied inwards away from the heels of SPIRITED GIRL (J Penny), which rolled in and was immediately corrected. b) Jockey J Penny (SPIRITED GIRL) briefly lost the footing to his right-side stirrup iron at approximately the 100m. c) Jockey P Strydom reported that ELEMBEE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with COURAGEOUS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) HAPPY MO (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
