Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MARKET TRENDS (O Noach) was restless in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) GO DANCING (A Arries) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. c) HAPPY WIVES (M Mjoka), PALPABLE (S Cele) and MEG'S LEGACY (D Schwarz) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 400m HAPPY WIVES (M Mjoka) was steadied briefly when awkwardly placed between the heels of MARKET TRENDS (O Noach) and CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS (K Matsunyane), which rolled in. b) LHASA (A Domeyer) was hanging out from the 300m. c) POETIC PRINCESS (A Andrews) was unable to secure clear running until approaching the 200m. d) MEG'S LEGACY (D Schwarz) raced green. e) Jockey C Orffer reported that CALL ME JANE changed stride continually in running and tired quickly in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) Jockey S Cele reported that PALPABLE, which raced detached from the field throughout, felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding MARKET TRENDS (O Noach), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 27/11/2024 to 03/12/2024 inclusive). MARKET TRENDS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) LOVEY STORY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer ELP Steyn was advised.
