THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FROM THE HIP (A Arries) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	PYRO PRINCE (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	FORT IMPREZA (S Cele) jumped slow, losing two lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being slow to begin, FORT IMPREZA (S Cele) raced detached from the field throughout.
b)	At the 300m NOBLE HERO (*I Taka) rolled out and brushed CROWNED HORNBILL (R Khathi) when RUN THE WORLD (G van Niekerk), which was hanging out, shifted out. 
c)	CROWNED HORNBILL (R Khathi) shifted in away from the crop in the latter stages.
d)	Approaching the 100m VICTOR HUGO (R Fourie) shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened.
e)	Jockey C Little reported that UBERMENSCH felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
f)	CAVALRY COMMANDER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Crawford was advised. (SC)
