THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	POISE PANACHE (J Gates) was stubborn loading.
b)	CARVED IN STONE (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and jumped outwards, losing one length.
c)	ROYAL VENUS (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gates.
d)	COUNTESS Q (C Little) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
e)	A MONTH OF SUNDAYS (KA Brewer) jumped slow, losing one length.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	POISE PANACHE (J Gates) was carried out by BEIJING BOULEVARD (E Webber), which shifted out sharply for no apparent reason at the 600m. Thereafter, POISE PANACHE (J Gates) raced wide around the turn and into the straight, shifted out away from the crop and raced on his own, separate from the rest of the field, on the outside of the course.
b)	In view of the performance of LAUGH TILL I CRY (K Matsunyane), which was not persevered with from the 350m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
	Jockey K Matsunyane was charged with a contravention of Rule 70.1.2 in that he failed to report circumstances which might have affected the running of LAUGH TILL I CRY when he was obligated to do so in terms of the Rules, in that he did not report that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. Jockey K Matsunyane signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
	Trainer SB Kotzen was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
c)	Jockey C Maujean reported that ROYAL VENUS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
	Trainer TJ Laing was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding CARVED IN STONE (K Minnie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/11/2024 to 06/12/2024 inclusive). CARVED IN STONE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding POISE PANACHE (J Gates), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/11/2024 to 06/12/2024 inclusive). POISE PANACHE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	Jockey R Fourie (NOODSBERG) appeared before the Board and was advised not to use his crop in an unnecessary manner when his horse is clearly winning. He was further warned that should he persist with this behaviour in future engagements, disciplinary measures will be taken.
g)	NOODSBERG, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM)
