Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	CARAMEL FUDGE (M Mjoka) kicked the back gates of the starting stalls.
b)	GARDENER'S PRIDE (C Maujean) fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride.
c)	HEART STEALER (R Fourie) jumped inwards.
d)	GREAT AFFAIR (DB Geerthsen) and KANIMAMBO (KA Brewer) jumped slow, losing one length.
e)	KAROO GOLD (D Schwarz) was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start BELLE'S FIRST WAVE (X Ndlovu) was buffeted between CRIMSON COMET (C Little) and SLAINTE MHATH (K Matsunyane), which jumped outwards.
b)	HEAD GARDENER (C Habib) shifted inwards and was severely corrected and directed outwards to obtain clear running at the 200m.
c)	Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with CRIMSON COMET.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer 	K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on her return to the stables.
d)	Jockey S Naidoo reported that THE INKOSANA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer 	GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
e)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that BELLE'S FIRST WAVE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer 	TJ Laing was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on her return to the stables.
f)	Trainer TJ Laing was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that she presented GREAT AFFAIR incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer TJ Laing signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
g)	ROLL OF THE DICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
