THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TEXAS RED (M K Katjedi) adopted an awkward head carriage and shifted out from the 350m. b) FIRE 'N FLAMES (N Klink) hung out and shifted out from the 300m. c) In view of the performance of DAVE THE KING (P Strydom), (distance 12,25 lengths, betting 14/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of UNZEN (G Lerena), which after racing prominently, tired rapidly from the 250m (distance 18,75 lengths, betting 33/20), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with THE SPECIALIST in running.
