THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TCHAIKOVSKY (D Schwarz) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) VELDSKOEN (AUS) (K Matsunyane) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) BLAZE A WAY (G Lerena) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VAR PARK (P Mxoli) took an awkward stride and stumbled when awkwardly placed between VELDSKOEN (AUS) (K Matsunyane), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and TCHAIKOVSKY (D Schwarz), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with KINSHIN SHA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that BLAZE A WAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey V Jodhee reported that BRIDGE OF SPIES did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Apprentice V Jodhee, the rider of BRIDGE OF SPIES, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) JOHNNY APPLESEED (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
