b)	THREE ROCKS (R Fourie) was reluctant to load and slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	THREE ROCKS failed to respond to Jockey R Fourie's urgings in the early stages of the race, which resulted in Jockey R Fourie racing at the back of the field in the early part of the race. Thereafter, at 250m THREE ROCKS (R Fourie) had to be switched out to obtain clear running and was steadied momentarily behind runners at the 150m.
Jockey R Fourie reported that THREE ROCKS felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
b)	ELLORIX (K Matsunyane) was hanging in in the latter stages.
c)	LILY OF THE NILE (K Minnie) shifted out away from the crop from approximately the 200m.
d)	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that PARIS LASS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Trainer GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
e) Jockey X Ndlovu appeared before the Board and was questioned as to the reason he did not use his crop on WOMAN OF POWER. He explained to the Board that this filly was running on strongly with him riding hands and heels to encourage her forward. He felt that it would have no benefit to her performance if he were to use his crop on WOMAN OF POWER. The Board has adjourned to review this filly's previous runs.
e)	KABON KAPI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
f)	WOMAN OF POWER, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
g)	GIMMIE'S LASSIE, the fourth-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
