THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FRANZ LEHAR (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading. b) FERRANDO (KA Brewer) was stubborn loading and jumped awkwardly. c) TUSCAN GOLD (S Naidoo) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey S Naidoo (TUSCAN GOLD) dropped his crop at the 250m. Jockey S Naidoo appeared before the Board with regards to the manner in which he dropped his crop in the race. He was advised to take reasonable measures to ensure that he keeps his crop throughout the race in terms of Rule 62.2.12. b) Jockey KA Brewer reported that FERRANDO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that PURPLE OPERATOR coughed in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) FRANZ LEHAR (K Matsunyane) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
