Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MARSHALL FIELD (M Mjoka) and MIKE'S MAZARIN (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 400m TYRION LANNISTER (C Orffer) had to be checked away from the heels of CHOLLIMA (A Arries), which was held up for a clear run behind FUTURE TURN (G van Niekerk) and was directed inwards when insufficiently clear. As a consequence, JOIN THE DOTS (K Matsunyane) and VOORLOOPERTJIE (C Zackey) were inconvenienced and had to be directed inwards.
	Jockey A Arries was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of CHOLLIMA he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to TYRON LANNISTER leaving the 400m. Jockey A Arries signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (12/12/2024 to 18/12/2024, both dates inclusive)
b)	GREEN MANDARIN (C Little) had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400m and the 250m.
c)	Jockey R Fourie reported that LIGHTNING GLOW made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with FUTURE TURN and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	In view of the performance of VOORLOOPERTJIE (C Zackey), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey G Wright was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded 	weight on MIKE'S MAZARIN, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey G 	Wright signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00.
g)	MAGIC VERSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ)
