Stipes Report

THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE STARTING STALLS AS WELL AS THE MONTY ROBERTS BLANKET ON GAMER (R DANIELSON) HAVING TO BE REFITTED AT THE START. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	PIONEER SQUARE (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls.
b)	GAMER (R Danielson) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c)	HAT FURIOUS (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride.	
d)	Shortly after the start, BEYNAC (K Matsunyane) and ASIAH'S TIARA (*T Mayhew) came together and bumped. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, the left-side front gate bounced back and made contact with T Mayhew's (ASIAH'S TIARA) shoulder. Thereafter, ASIAH'S TIARA (*T Mayhew) was bumped by BEYNAC (K Matsunyane), which jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. 
b)	BEYNAC (K Matsunyane) and FLIGHT ENGINEER (C Habib) over-raced in the early stages. 
c)	In the concluding stages, CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (P Mxoli) was carried in marginally by BEYNAC (K Matsunyane), which commenced to hang in from the 200m. 
d)	Jockey C Zackey reported that PYRO EDITION did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
e)	Jockey D Schwarz reported that AMERICAN EAGLE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 	
f)	GAMER (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
