THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ONE ARMED BANDIT (D Daniels), OWNER OF CREATION (R A Venniker) and IRISH ANTHEM (S Sosibo) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1400m IRISH ANTHEM (S Sosibo) which commenced to over-race was eased to avoid running onto the heels of OWNER OF CREATION (R A Venniker). Shortly thereafter, OWNER OF CREATION (R A Venniker) was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of SILVER PLATTER (S Moodley). b) Jockeys D Daniels (ONE ARMED BANDIT) and R A Venniker (OWNER OF CREATION) reported that they felt something amiss in the running with their respective mounts. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Trainer P Lafferty will be asked to report back on the condition of ONE ARMED BANDIT on return to stables. c) RICHARDTHEFEARLESS (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
