Stipes Report
Light rain fell during the running of this race. The start of this race was delayed due to the reasons stated in the Starters' report below. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COPACABANA (C Habib) was stubborn to load. Trainer D S Bosch has been advised to reschool this filly (SL). b) JET LAVISH (S Moodley) was restless in the stalls. c) During loading process HURRICANE CAT (*J Botes) reared once in the stalls. This filly was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) QUENTASIA (*D Pillay) was eased momentarily when close to the heels of PRANKSTER (*M Mbuto) which commenced to over-race in the early stages and shifted out. Thereafter PRANKSTER (*M Mbuto) proved difficult to assist around the turn. b) COPACABANA (C Habib) hung in between the 300m and the 200m and rolled in. c) PRANKSTER (*M Mbuto), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Gavin van Zyl acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) COPACABANA raced equipped with blinkers and fitted with a tongue tie (advised 10.12.2024/07h13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
