Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RED SPARROW (*T Mayhew) was stubborn loading.
b)	BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (R Danielson) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	GHOSTBUSTER (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards and made contact with the right-side front gate leaving the stalls.
d)	MOUNTAIN HIGH (C Zackey) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (R Danielson) in stall gate 6 and established that this filly had been restless inside its barrier, had been impeded by the Handler allocated to her when he attempted to settle her and thereafter, both front gates bounced back and made contact with her muzzle and shoulder. The Stipendiary Board, acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2, declared this filly a non-runner.
b)	As the start was effected, GHOSTBUSTER (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards, made contact with the right front gate. As a consequence, MOUNTAIN HIGH (C Zackey) was bumped inwards.
c)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding RED SPARROW (*T Mayhew), Trainer M Azzie will be advised 	to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (R Danielson), Trainer SJ Gray will 	be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	KALIKAA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Geledu, 	acting on behalf of Trainer AG Laird, was advised. (MdP)
