THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAJESTIC PALACE (K Matsunyane) jumped awkwardly, losing one length. b) PRIME EXAMPLE (KA Brewer) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1000m HAWKBILL (C Zackey) was directed outwards and raced in isolation parallel to the outside running rail for the remainder of the race. b) Leaving the 200m IMPERIAL MASTER (JR Syster) and HAZLO GRANDE (P Mxoli) were carried in by WILD INTENT (M van Rensburg), which shifted in away from the crop and was corrected. c) HAWKBILL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
