THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	EL ROMIACHI (X Ndlovu) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
b)	DUBAI HILLS (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	CENTRAL CITY (K Minnie) and GOLD GUNNER (M van Rensburg) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	WAZ WOUTER (Y Ramzan) was bumped inwards by THUNDER MASTER (D Schwarz) shortly after the start.
b)	Jockey X Ndlovu was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the 	crop) in that as the rider of EL ROMIACHI he misused his crop by striking EL ROMIACHI more than 12 times 	(14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey X Ndlovu signed an 	admission of guilt and was fined R4000,00. 
c)	DESTINY'S ANGEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
