Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	 LENNOXTOWN (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls and fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing one length.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	ERIMITAGE (E Webber) was squeezed between ELECTRIC STORM (D Schwarz) and SAND BANK (S Naidoo) shortly after the start.
b)	SCAMPTON (M van Rensburg) failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field from the 1400m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer SB Kotzen was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
c)	At approximately the 250m ERIMITAGE (E Webber) was carried outwards by ELECTRIC STORM (D Schwarz), which shifted out.
d)	MASTER FORESTER (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 300m and was corrected at the 100m.
e)	LENNOXTOWN (K Minnie) shifted out sharply away from the crop at the 200m.
f)	Jockey S Khathi reported that HAWK CIRCLE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	Jockey S Naidoo appeared before the Board and was advised not to use his crop when his mount is out of contention for a place. He was further advised that should he do this in future races, disciplinary measures may be taken. 
h)	ALADO'S PRIDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
