The start of this Race was delayed due to Jockey G Lerena having to re-saddle WORLD OF OUR OWN at the start. 
 
THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	LINGOTTO (C Habib) was stubborn to load. 
b)	UZWANO (C Zackey) lost 1 length. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	GUSTAV KLIMT (S Hlengwa) over-raced in the early stages. 
b)	WAR LOVER (T Godden) hung in from the 350m. 
c)	UZWANO (C Zackey) was continually baulked for a clear run between the 300m and the 50m. In view of the performance of this gelding (7.45 lengths, 9/4 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
d)	GREEN MILE (S Moodley) and LINGOTTO (C Habib) hung in from the 300m. 
e)	Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with WAR LOVER in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
f)	Jockey S Hlengwa reported that he felt something amiss with GUSTAV KLIMT post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
