THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, DONQUERARI (M Thackeray) was bumped in by PRAY FOR RAIN (S Moodley) which jumped in leaving the stalls. b) At the 400m, CATS PAJAMAS (G Lerena) was directed outwards away from the heels of CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL (S Hlengwa) which was hanging in from the 400m. c) At approximately the 200m, DONQUERARI (M Thackeray) was carried in by CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL (S Hlengwa) which continued to hang in. d) In view of the performance of LUNARCAM (T Godden) (7.00 lengths, 14/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CATS PAJAMAS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
