THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	WAR REPORTER (C Habib) jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
b)	CASTLE CRAG (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, PALANCAR (A Mgudlwa) rolled in marginally and brushed CHASINGTHERAINBOW (M Mjoka), which in turn made contact with WAVE OF GLORY (S Hlengwa).
b)	PALANCAR (A Mgudlwa) was hanging out from the 400m.
c)	CHASINGTHERAINBOW (M Mjoka) and WAR REPORTER (C Habib) raced green.
d)	The saddle on WINTER EMERALDS slipped back in running, placing Jockey JP van der Merwe at a disadvantage. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. 
e)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that WINTER EMERALDS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey R Fourie reported that PHIL THE FLUTER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	HEAL AND SOUL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Crawford was advised. (TL)
