THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start, Jockey R Fourie expressed concern with LIKE A BUTTERFLY's action while proceeding to the start. This filly was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) OH MANDY (C Maujean) jumped slow, losing one length. c) POISE PANACHE (S Naidoo) and SUMMER HEAT (D Schwarz) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PEARLY ASH (*D Pillay) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with SUMMER HEAT and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) POISE PANACHE (S Naidoo) shifted out away from the crop at approximately the 400m and was corrected at the 150m. d) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with REGINA LOU and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Apprentice D Pillay (PEARLY ASH) accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 50m. f) Due to the racing manners of MAXIGIRL (K Steyn), where this filly did not run on a straight course in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) BEIJING BOULEVARD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
