THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRIPPI'S SILK (S Veale) was restless in the stalls. b) MOTHERSHIP (K Steyn) was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths. c) LOVERS LANE (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length. d) KING VISERYS (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to MOTHERSHIP (K Steyn) in stall gate 3 and were satisfied that any loss of ground at the start was as a result of this filly's own behaviour and took no further action. b) In view of the report from the Starter regarding MOTHERSHIP (K Steyn), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 29/12/2024 to 04/01/2025 inclusive). MOTHERSHIP may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) An Inquiry will be held into Jockey S Veale's (TRIPPI'S SILK) use of the crop. d) TSUNAMI WARNING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised.
