Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DAS GUTE (M Mjoka) was fractious in the stalls and reared as the start was effected, losing three lengths. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to DAS GUTE (M Mjoka) in stall gate 8 and established that this gelding was fractious in the stalls and had reared as the start was effected. The Stewards were satisfied that any loss of ground at the start was as a result of this gelding's own behaviour and took no further action.
	In view of the report from the Starter regarding DAS GUTE (M Mjoka), this gelding's starting stall certificate has 	been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to 	be tractable to load with a companion on a race day. (Suspension dates: 29/12/2024 to 04/01/2025 inclusive). 	DAS GUTE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
b)	MONT LOISIR (K Steyn) was hanging out from the 400m.
c)	Jockeys G Wright and JP van der Merwe reported that ELIZABEDI GOLD and DANCINGTOTHELIGHT respectively did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings.
d)	Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded 	weight on MAJOR MASTER, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which 	resulted in a change of Rider. Jockey A Domeyer signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00.
	The Stewards considered Mr A Domeyer's record regarding contraventions of Rule 55.4 with regard to 	weighing out overweight and determined that he be restricted to a riding weight of 58kg's, with immediate 	effect, and until such time that he is able to exhibit that he can consistently ride at a lower weight to the 	satisfaction of the Stewards.
e)	MAJOR MASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (TL)
