THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TWILIGHT BAY (M Thackeray) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 150m NAUTICAL LANDING (T Godden) and ROYAL MERMAID (A Mgudlwa) were carried in by TWILIGHT BAY (M Thackeray) which was brushed in by TERMINAL VELOCITY (C Zackey) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. c) SONATA SAMARITAN (S Hlengwa) hung in and shifted in, in the concluding stages. d) Jockey R Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with FLY TO ME in the running and as a result, she did not persevere with her ride from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SONATA SAMARITAN (S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P M Gadsby advised (SP). f) TERMINAL VELOCITY (C Zackey), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
