THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISTER NIBBLES (T Godden) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 800m TEATIME TIPPLE (S Veale) was steadied to avoid the heels of BURNING MAN (R A Venniker). b) LORD WYLIE (*K J Lihaba) and TERMINATOR (S Moodley) hung in from the 300m. c) At the 150m RUN TO RIO (*D Pillay) shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, Apprentice D Pillay reported that RUN TO RIO changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with MISTER NIBBLES in the running, which hung in from the 350m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) BURNING MAN (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Greyling advised (DZ).
