THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start BEAUTIFUL RANIA (*D Pillay) was brushed in by TARA STAR (R A Venniker) which was bumped in by ONE SMART COOKIE (M Thackeray), which jumped inwards. b) At the 350m ONE SMART COOKIE (M Thackeray) was bumped by TARA STAR (R A Venniker) which shifted in and was immediately corrected. c) GO LIKE FLO (T Godden) hung in from the 300m. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with GET IN THE Q in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer P B Muscutt signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate LADIES WORLD against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) LUCRATIVE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
