THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EAGLESTONE (K Matsunyane) and SOVEREIGN COMMAND (*D Pillay) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DYNASTY'S LAST (M Thackeray) over-raced in the early stages. b) Approaching the 1400m SOVEREIGN COMMAND (*D Pillay) was carried out by OFF THE CHARTS (*J Botes) which rolled out and was corrected. c) The Board has adjourned to review Apprentice J Botes's riding of OFF THE CHARTS at the 1000m. d) In view of the performance of EAGLESTONE (K Matsunyane) (26.35 lengths, 66/1 in the betting) which over-raced in the early stages and tired rapidly from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) FLYING HAFLA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
