THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOOM BOOM (C Maujean) and SHAMPIMPI (D Schwarz) were restless in the stalls, released from the gates, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) PRETTY ANALIA (L Nhlapo) reared in the stalls. c) WHISTLEDOWN (N Klink) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 150m PRETTY ANALIA (L Nhlapo) was directed outwards away from the heels of SHAMPIMPI (D Schwarz) to obtain a clear run. b) Jockey MK Katjedi felt something amiss with SEVENTEEN AGAIN and eased this filly out of the race at the 1000m. The Veterinary Surgeon attended to this filly on course. c) SHAMPIMPI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Dawson was advised (MS) JOCKEY CHANGES: a) P Mxoli rode RATTLE BAG (declared 08h46 on 20250101) b) *T Mayhew rode KALIKAA (declared 10h14 on 20250102) c) Apprentice T Mayhew (KALIKAA) rode 54.3kgs and only claimed 0.5kg of his apprentice allowance.
