THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ONE STRIPE (G Lerena) jumped outwards and made contact with ROYAL AUSSIE (O Murphy), which in turn made contact with AT MY COMMAND (K Matsunyane).
b)	GREAT PLAINS (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	In view of the performance of SEE IT AGAIN (RA Venniker), which raced wide without cover on the bend and into the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	Racing into the turn at the 1200m, ORIENTAL CHARM (JP van der Merwe) was steadied when close to the heels of MONTIEN (C Orffer).
c)	An Inquiry will be held to establish why SNOW PILOT (R Fourie) and GIMME A PRINCE (C Zackey) had to be steadied and ONE STRIPE (G Lerena) was brushed inwards onto GIMME A PRINCE (C Zackey) in the concluding stages.
c)	In view of the performance of ORIENTAL CHARM (JP van der Merwe), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d)	ONE STRIPE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (TL)
