THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NATURAL WONDER (*J Botes) was stubborn loading. b) TRILLION DREAMS (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed to allow the carded equipment on NATURAL WONDER (*J Botes) to be correctly fitted. An investigation has been opened into the reason this filly was presented incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. b) After being slow into stride, TRILLION DREAMS (K Minnie) failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field until the 400m. c) MISS PRIOR (C Zackey) and NATURAL WONDER (*J Botes) came together and brushed shortly after the start. d) FLYING SOLO (E Webber) shifted out away from the crop between the 300m and the 200m and had to be steadied off the heels of OPERA VERSE (C Maujean) at the 200m. Thereafter, this filly was allowed to continue to shift outwards to obtain a clear run. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that MISS PRIOR made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) BAIE MOOI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
