Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GIMME MORE TIME dislodged Jockey K Matsunyane without incident while proceeding to the start, cantered back to the parade ring, was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. Jockey Matsunyane was reunited with GIMME MORE TIME and thereafter proceeded to the start, causing a delay. 	
b)	SLINGS AND ARROWS (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls.
c)	KING'S RANSOM (S Khathi) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates.
d)	MO THE MAN (R Fourie) and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (DB Geerthsen) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
e)	EL ROMIACHI (*J Botes) jumped slow, losing one length.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	LUNA HALO recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer AC Greeff was advised 	that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	MACHACHEV (M Yeni) was bumped by DOWSER (E Webber), which jumped inwards shortly after the start.	
c)	KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (DB Geerthsen) and MACHACHEV (M Yeni) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (DB Geerthsen) was bumped by GIMME MORE TIME (K Matsunyane), which became unbalanced for a number of strides when bumped outwards by KING'S RANSOM (S Khathi), which shifted out at approximately the 500m. 
	Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of KING'S RANSOM, he 	failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to KINGDOM OF HEAVEN and GIMME MORE TIME at 	approximately the 500m. Jockey S Khathi signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races 	for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 11/01/2025 to 17/11/2025, both dates inclusive)
e)	DOWSER (E Webber) faltered when attempting to jump the crossing leaving the 200m.
f)	MAKHACHEV (M Yeni) had to steady off the heels of EL ROMIACHI (*J Botes), which shifted outwards shortly before the finish line.
g)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with MO THE MAN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
h)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding GIMME MORE TIME (K Matsunyane), Trainer SJ Snaith will 	be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
i)	SLINGS AND ARROWS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
j)	PYROMANIAC, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM)
