THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	AS FATE HAS IT (C Zackey), CATCH YOUR BREATH (R Fourie), CHERE FOR ME (D Schwarz) and STATE SECRET (C Maujean) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Following several incidents of interference that had occurred during the course of today's meeting, the Chief Stipendiary Steward approached the Riders and advised them of their obligations with regards to riding professionally, in the interest of horse and Rider welfare and safety, and the interests of the racing public. He further advised the Riders that should this negligent riding that had been demonstrated continue, stronger disciplinary measures would be meted out.
b)	SUN SPECTACULAR (M Yeni) and BACK FOR MORE (X Ndlovu) over raced in the early and middle stages.	
c)	Leaving the 400m STRANGE MAGIC (*J Botes) and BACK FOR MORE (X Ndlovu), which raced in close proximity, made contact on a number of occasions.
d)	AS FATE HAS IT (C Zackey) had to steady momentarily and lost position when awkwardly placed on the heels of GET IT DONE (Y Ramzan), which shifted out shortly before the finish line.
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that AS FATE HAS IT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
	Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
f)	PROTECT THE DREAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM)
g)	GET IT DONE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised. (LM)
