THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	The tongue tie on PITZUCHIM (DB Geerthsen) was refitted at the start.
b)	BOSNAY (*J Botes), QUEEN OF JAZZ (S Naidoo) and KOMESANS PASSION (Y Ramzan) were nervous in the stalls.
c)	POMODORO MAGIC (K Matsunyane) rushed the front gates.
d)	THREE CHEERS (C Maujean) was slow into stride.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 800m SHARAPOVA (R Fourie) and QUEEN OF JAZZ (S Naidoo), which raced in close proximity, came together and brushed. Thereafter, SHARAPOVA (R Fourie) was continually baulked until the 500m and had to be switched out to obtain clear running. 
b)	POMODORO MAGIC (K Matsunyane) was hanging out from the 200m.
c)	Jockey K Steyn reported that PUFF OF SMOKE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
	Trainer JVA Strydom was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables. 
d)	In view of the performance of PITZUCHIM (DB Geerthsen), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	MY AMI BEACH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised. (LM)
