THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POLYNOMIAL (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length. b) KYALAMI GIRL (A Domeyer) took an awkward stride leaving the stalls. b) MISS WORLD (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JAPANESE ROSE (L Mxothwa) got its head up on a number of occasions while attempting to get cover in the early stages. b) Jockey S Veale reported that, in his opinion, the performance of SAHARA CAT was disappointing. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) MAI SENSATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised.
