THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start ROYAL VICTORY (M Yeni) and MEXICAN PETE (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped. b) MEXICAN PETE (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter proceeded to hang in and gave ground to the field in the final straight. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey R Danielson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that as the rider of MARY'S GREENLIGHT, he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Gavin van Zyl acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey C Zackey was the rider of NAVAJO NATION (advised 07.01.2025/16h04). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Jockey R Danielson (MARY'S GREENLIGHT) weighed in at 56.6kg, 1.1 kg over the carded weight.
