THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ASPECT (S Veale) was hanging out and shifted out from the 400m. b) Leaving the 300m CALL TO UNITE (C Zackey) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of HATS PRIDE (C Little), which was hanging out badly from the 400m and proved difficult to assist. c) At the 200m SOLAR POWER (L Mxothwa) was unable to secure a clear run when awkwardly placed on the heels of ASPECT (S Veale), which rolled in away from PROMETTERE (R Fourie). d) Jockey C Zackey reported that CALL TO UNITE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) PROMETTERE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
