Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MARITZBURG MEMORY (S Veale) jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
b)	LA DIVINA (C Orffer) was squeezed between EASY LIVING (K Steyn), which jumped inwards and PHILOSOPHISE (A Domeyer), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c)	ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED (G van Niekerk) jumped inwards and made contact with LADY LOOK ALIKE (L Mxothwa).

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being slow to begin, MARITZBURG MEMORY (S Veale) took no interest in the early and middle stages.
b)	On the turn, the bit on OCTOBER FEST pulled through this filly's mouth and, as a consequence, Jockey JP van der Merwe was unable to assist this filly, raced to the outside of the course on entering the straight and brushed the outside running rail on a number of occasions.
c)	FROM A DISTANCE (G Wright) was continually baulked for a clear run in the straight.
d)	At the 200m PHILOSOPHISE (A Domeyer) was brushed out on two occasions by LADY LOOK ALIKE (L Mxothwa), which was hanging out from the 300m.
e)	Jockey K Steyn reported that EASY LIVING did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
f)	ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer L Woodruff was advised. (TL)
