THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN OF LOVE (P Strydom) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) MISS SCALETTA (P Mxoli) and LAST CAR TO PASS (K Matsunyane) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ACROSS THE POND (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) LAST CAR TO PASS (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey K Matsunyane reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with TWOSTEP QUEEN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with the WARNING SOUND in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer S G Tarry is to be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of WARNING SOUND on return to stables e) QUEEN OF LOVE (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (SR). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WARNING SOUND: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 54,3kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared. b) TUSCAN STAR: Jockey C Maujean weighed out at 53,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
