Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Shortly after being installed PORRIDGE BOY (RA Venniker) reared in the stalls. As a result, PARENTAL GUIDANCE (C Zackey) became restless and subsequently, CHURCHILLIAN (O Noach) reared in the stalls.  CHURCHILLIAN (O Noach) and PORRIDGE BOY (RA Venniker) were taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. After being reloaded, CHURCHILLIAN (O Noach) was again restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. 
b)	WILD WILD GREEN (G van Niekerk) and INSTAWORTHY (R Fourie) made light contact leaving the stalls.
c)	As the start was effected, SHE'S MY WORLD (M Yeni) was bumped by PARENTAL GUIDANCE (C Zackey), 	which jumped in leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	SILVA CITY (K Matsunyane) was hanging out in the closing stages. 
b)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that CALL OF THE KAROO changed stride continually in running and he 	did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine 	this filly.
c)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding CHURCHILLIAN (O Noach) and PORRIDGE BOY (RA 	Venniker), Trainers C Bass-Robinson and M Pandaram will be advised to have these colts re-schooled prior to 	their next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
d)	Jockey G van Niekerk was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.5.1 in that he failed to report to the Clerk of 	Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first (1st) race in which he was engaged to ride 	WILD WILD GREEN. Jockey G van Niekerk signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000,00.
	When assessing penalty, the Stewards considered that as a result of Jockey G van Niekerk not being on 	course timeously, he did not attend a meeting with the Stewards and the Riders and, as a consequence, failed 	to parade up until the dedicated marker, as the Riders were instructed at the meeting.
e)	WILD WILD GREEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TL)
