DRAGONHEART (J GREYLING) REFUSED TO LOAD AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DRAGONHEART (J Greyling) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer J J van Vuuren was advised (GT). b) VEGAS GIRL (R Munger) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, KING BLUETOOTH (P Mxoli), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, clipped the heels of MISTER WILSON (D Schwarz). b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to DRAGONHEART, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 27 January 2024 to 3 February 2025. DRAGONHEART may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J J van Vuuren was advised. c) READ ALL ABOUT IT (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F De Kock advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
