THE STARTER REPORTED A) AFTERNOON TEA was slow into stride. B) AYE AYE and DELICASEA were nervous in the stalls. C) FRANCA, POT SOX and WINTER FURI were stubborn loading. D) STATE OF MIND was unruly at the start and stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) WINTER FURI (G van Niekerk) was held up for a clear run between the 400m and the 250m. B) At the 150m, a tiring FRANCA (R Fourie) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between BAD HABIT (X Ndlovu) and VARIETY BREEZE (*Y Ramzan). C) Jockey R Fourie reported that FRANCA did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine D) The winner GLACIER GOLD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) AYE AYE raced equipped with alumites front, unshod behind (08:33 - 25/03/2022). B) STATE OF MIND raced equipped with cornell collar (08:55 - 17/03/2022).
