THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AVOONTOAST (M K Katjedi) jumped sharply inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey G Lerena reported that CEUTA changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) MY LADY SOUL (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird advised (MS). When questioned regarding the poor performance of this filly on 28 December 2024, Trainer A G Laird could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) DONNA MO raced with a tongue tie on (declared 24 January 2025 at 08H11). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CEUTA not striding out right front; fatigued. b) DONNA MO scalp wound right hind, c) AVOONTOAST cast its left front shoe in running. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
