THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DRIVE BY (D Schwarz) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) SWEET JULIA (S Veale) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start SWEET JULIA (S Veale) was brushed out by CHAKPORI (C F Dicken) which jumped out. b) Entering the turn GLAMORZ (*J Botes) which over-raced in the early stages, was carried out by SWEET JULIA (S Veale) which rolled out and was corrected. As a consequence, GLAMORZ (*J Botes) raced wide and without cover around the turn and into the straight. c) Jockey R Danielson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on MY TRUE LOVE, resulting in a change of rider. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) MAMAS BABY (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
