IN THE PARADE RING, THE CHEEK PIECE ON THE BRIDLE OF THE ULTIMATE KING (G LERENA) BROKE. THE BRIDLE ON THIS COLT HAD TO BE REPLACED BEFORE HE COULD PROCEED TO THE START, WHICH CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THE RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAND UP (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) THE ULTIMATE KING (G Lerena) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHARIOT OF FIRE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) STAND UP was ridden by Jockey C Maujean (declared 30 January 2025 at 08H15). RACECARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) STAND UP abrasion on the right stifle. b) THE ULTIMATE KING stirrup rub on the right side.
