Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL (JP van der Merwe) stood as the start was effected, losing many lengths. b) WOMAN OF POWER (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls and fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) RED SASH (C Maujean) over raced in the early stages and proved difficult to assist. c) HEART PEAKS (MK Katjedi) raced wide without cover around the turn and into the straight. d) CATCH YOUR BREATH (R Fourie) was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to the 200m. e) At the 250m RED SASH (C Maujean) had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of WOMAN OF POWER (K Minnie). f) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with GOLDEN PACIFIC. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL (JP van der Merwe), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 01/02/2025 to 07/02/2025 inclusive). HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) MONTELENA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
