a)	On arriving at the start Jockey J Gates expressed concern with EUROPEAN SUMMER's action while proceeding to the start. This mare was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a slight delay.
b)	SILVONIAN (C Maujean) was stubborn loading.
c)	BETHEL (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls.
d)	IMPACT INVESTOR (JP van der Merwe) was slow into stride.

a)	BOMBER GIRL (E Webber) was hanging in from the 200m.
b)	Jockey C Zackey reported that CAPTAIN TIK TOK did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
