THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start Jockey J Gates expressed concern with EUROPEAN SUMMER's action while proceeding to the start. This mare was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a slight delay. b) SILVONIAN (C Maujean) was stubborn loading. c) BETHEL (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls. d) IMPACT INVESTOR (JP van der Merwe) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BOMBER GIRL (E Webber) was hanging in from the 200m. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that CAPTAIN TIK TOK did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. c) In view of the performance of TUSCAN GOLD (*H Moosun), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
