THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TAMBOURINE MAN (L Mxothwa) refused to load and was withdrawn. b) GRAVITY (C Orffer) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Due to a fire in the region of Kenilworth Racecourse, smoke was blowing across the course. b) Approaching the 200m GRAVITY (C Orffer) and ELECTRIC FEELS (M Mjoka) commenced to shift out. Thereafter, at the 100m, GRAVITY (C Orffer) was carried in by ELECTRIC FEELS (M Mjoka), which rolled in and was immediately straightened. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TAMBOURINE MAN (L Mxothwa), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 02/02/2025 to 08/02/2025 inclusive). TAMBOURINE MAN may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) ELECTRIC FEELS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised.
