Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TAMARISK TREE (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ROBERT BROWNING (*G Samo-Burthia) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the concluding stages, VESUVIO (R Munger) was bumped in by TAMARISK TREE (G Lerena), which rolled in. Thereafter, VESUVIO (R Munger) was carried in marginally by TAMARISK TREE (G Lerena), which shifted in away from the crop. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board which was followed by an Objection being lodged by R Munger on behalf of the second-placed horse, VESUVIO, against the winner TAMARISK TREE (G Lerena) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Board, after giving regard to the evidence presented by the relevant parties, the distance between the horses at the end of the race and the proximity of the incident to the finish line, could not be satisfied that the result had been affected by this incident, overruled the Objection and allowed the Judges result to stand. Jockey R Munger's deposit was refunded. b) TAMARISK TREE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R R Sage advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) RULE BOOK raced with a cornell collar (declared 5 November 2021). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ROBERT BROWNING bilateral nasal discharge, THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
